Be First, Do Second

“For those whom God foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son.” Romans 8:29

God’s primary purpose for us is to BE conformed to Christ. Too often, we forget that and focus on what we are supposed to DO. But DOING proceeds from BEING. If we get caught up in what we have to DO but forget who we are supposed to BE, we will find ourselves constantly battling our fleshly desires and mindset. But if we are striving to BE conformed to Christ, we will find that what we are called to DO flows out abundantly from us through his Spirit living within us.
